Dear Diary, Entry 3
Dear Diary,
I took a bus to town today. The bus driver was so mesmerised by me for some reason that he didn’t notice that a woman was waiting for him to open the back doors and let her out!
At the library, I Googled book recommendations for people who liked Tillie Cole’s Raze and Reap series and Lucy Parker’s Codename Charming. One of the authors who came up was Ana Huang. I sat in a corner and read one of her books for an hour. While I was there, a woman was trespassed from the library for some reason and threw a massive tantrum. When the library staff phoned the police, after a few more sweary insults, she left the building.
I stopped at a supermarket on the way home. I decided to buy a punnet of blueberries despite the expense. I’m experimenting with having berries on my breakfast instead of prunes to see if that will shave just a little more weight off my waist. I’ve lost so much weight, which I’m of course extremely happy about. Now it’s just a matter of fine-tuning. I swear I’m not getting obsessive. I learned that lesson long ago. Now it’s just for fun and the challenge.
Hubby and son are watching old American wrestling shows right now. It seems sweetly nostalgic in these uncertain times.
I watched People We Meet on Vacation while I had the house to myself this afternoon. That actress’s eyes and face are so expressive!
My husband had a long day at work today. We both love it when he’s safe at home. Are we cheesy? If we are, we are very happy in it.
